The problem with this country (well, ONE of the problems) is that we no longer see things as "right" and "wrong", but through a filter of right wing and left wing, conservative or liberal, Republican or Democrat. Politicians should have a political affiliation but judges, appointed officials (EPA head, Secretary of State, etc.), Law Enforcement Officials (FBI head, Attorney General, etc.) shouldn't be. They are there to do a job, not represent a certain political party's views and agenda. The Head of the EPA should have the protection of the environment as their top priority, not caving to the special interests of their party. Same goes for law enforcement. The law is the law no matter who is in power. Comey was soft on Clinton because he was TOLD to be. He chose his words to spin things the way the ruling power wanted at the time. If Trump does something illegal or unconstitutional, I WANT Attorney General Sessions to point it out and act accordingly.
Democrats were crying in their cereal the moment Trump was elected and have been throwing around the word impeachment since seconds after his inauguration. Why? Because he's not "Presidential" enough. As though stuffing a cigar in an intern's vagina is Presidential. They have conveniently forgotten about that. Republicans are not blameless either. Reagan began down a rabbit hole that we still have not escaped from with his "I don't remember" crap. Iran/Contra was a nightmare that I didn't think we would ever wake up from. I was barely old enough for it to be important to me, but I remember my father, a staunch Republican, being very upset at his lack of fortitude in the matter. Right is right and wrong is wrong. Trying to blur the lines between them is where we make mistakes. The President is human and as such prone to mistakes. Sometimes even with the best intentions, a mistake can be made. The news media seeks out these mistakes, however and exacerbates them to the Nth degree, not even allowing one to own up to them, but instead be forced to cover them up - only further exacerbating them.
What I find so funny about all of these "bombshells" in relation to this election and the months there-after, is that nobody is as upset with "what was said", or "what was written", but instead everyone is so focused on who was in control of the release of information. The DNC was so upset that their server was "hacked by Russians" that they dismissed the fact that what was said in the emails was illegal and immoral (tanking Bernie Sanders campaign just so Hillary could get the nomination). The Republicans are so worried about if Podesta paid Fusion GPS to do the Trump Dossier that they forget to see if there is any actual truth inside it. It's all spin. Instead of the shadow games of who paid for the dossier, instead focus on what is true, and if the truth is that someone in the campaign early on was attempting it, but you put a STOP to it, then you have done the correct and moral thing and won fair and square.
