Deploying tonight, see ya'll when I get back.

well guys, I just wanted to give a short little update. I'm in Germany right now, waiting on a flight in the morning back to the US. I was medevac'd to here this morning from Baghdad, where I had to have emergency surgery on Halloween. I'm recovering and healing well, just sore. see y'all soon.

the surgeon said my appendix couldn't have been more than minutes from rupturing. he was gonna wait until the next morning to do the surgery but when he saw just how bad it was he said he couldn't put it off. they didn't do the usual little cut, they cut me wide open and LOW...but it's a clean straight cut and I'll have a pretty sweet scar. haha. not really a "major" surgery as some would say, but it's definitely kicked me back on my butt a little and slowed me down. I'm doing great though. should be leaving here in a few hours and flying to Andrews AFB, then down to Pope AFB, then over to the hospital on Bragg. just wanna say thanks for all the thoughts and kind words and whatnot...means a whole lot. gonna be having some people over at my house in Fayetteville Saturday for some grilling and whatnot if anybody wants to stop by and hang out and enjoy some good food. just let me know and I'll get you my address.
 
Side, just don't etc. any Adam Sandler movies for a few days. Hurts like hell to laugh after that.
We tortured my brother after his emergency appendectomy by playing nothing but comedies. :D
