Design Program

I am trying to find a design program that i can use for making some parts. I have a plasma cutter now and am wanting to put it to use but am wanting a simple program i can use on my computer. I am tired of drawing the plans for stuff on paper cause stuff ends up not being square. It doesnt have to be complicated. Just a simple one that can do 2d stuff. Any suggestions?

Alibre is pretty simple to use... and will do 3D also. The basic version is free, but I advise you "typo" your phone number (required for reg.) or you'll be fending of sales calls for the next eon...

I downloaded that but it seems to be more complicated then i was looking for. But thanks for the suggestion. I would like to find just a 2d program.

If you just want to draw, could you use something like Google Sketchpad?

Does sketchpad show you the dimensions of the stuff you draw?

Alright. I have some version of autocad on my other computer but for some reason i thought it didn't have the dimensions but i could be wrong. I will take another look at that.
