Detroit Locker question

Ok, this may be a dumb question but my rear is supposed to have a detroit locker. I currently have the truck up on stands and I held the brakes with it in gear and I noticed that one wheel was spinning. Not fast, but it was turning and the other was not.

This should not occur correct? Or am I mistaken on how the detroit locker should perform?

If you were holding the brakes, no tire should be turning...

Its also possible that someone installed a Detroit truetrac (limited slip) and just referred to it as a Detroit "locker"

detroit

Ok. Jack up the truck. Get a buddy. One of you hold a tire forward. The other rotate the other tire backwards. The one rotating backwards should turn and "click". Then swap and try it the other way. It doesn't matter if you hold it forward or back. You just have to rotate the oposite tire in the oposite direction......if you turn them in the same direction they will "lock" together. Do all this with the trans in park or if manual 1st. Engine off "sorry. Sometimes you gotta state the obvious"

If you don't get these results. It ain't a detroit
