I have a diamond axle based on the toyota 8in, complete with chrome-moly shafts. does anyone have any idea what i might be able to sell it for. i figure i have got about 2200 in it and i really need the cash. it has never been in anything more than a mud hole and has probably only around a thousand miles on it... any help would be appreciated.
if anyone is interested e mail me and/or make an offer. hefnerab@appstate.edu

Gears, locker, HP or standard, locking hubs, drive flanges, 27 or 30 spline, vented rotors????

I am guessing from your answer that it is all stock except the housing? Is it stock width too? $2200 seems like a lot of money to have in a stock axle wtih a diamond housing. Surely it has some upgrades.

re

yeah that 2200 is high, but thats just what i have in it including time, parts and the fact that i put it all together separately instead of ordering it complete. i forgot to put the price i was thinking on there. i was thinking around 1700 or 2200 for front and rear. i am also open to trade, i am looking for front and rear 60s for a good price. let me know what yall think

just to help you out Adam, correct me if im wrong, but you have 4:10 gears, open diff, standard pinion, flanges not sure, 30 spline, and vented rotors, and its full width

You might want to think about dropping the price down quite a bit if the above parts are correct. If someone bought new they would have roughly 1830 in parts.
900 - housing
300 - donor axle priced high
630 - 30 splines
Although one inner shaft would be custom cut. I would say anything over 1500 would be high, most likely lower.

So are you "wanting" to sell one axle or two axles. And do you have the actually width? Any steering arms, tierods? 4cly or v6 third? Not that i have the money...i was just curious? If that price is for one, you are going to have to lower you expectations a good bit...probably not what you wanted to hear...just the truth. everyones hurting right now.

Good luck with the sale though.

that 2200 is for the diamond axle and the e locker rear.

its the 61 inch housing, i do have all the steering links to go with it and the 3rd is from a 6 cyl
