Sounds good on the surface, but it CA so something must be wrong.

California police can no longer ask common question at a traffic stop starting in 2024

If you’ve been pulled over, there’s a good chance the officer has asked a specific question. But California cops won’t be able to do so in 2024.

Why am I drawing a parallel to liberal controlled cities/states no longer stopping cars for obvious traffic/vehicle infractions (examples: burnt tail/brake lamps, headlights, expired/missing tags), as it was deemed profiling against "minorities" or in more simple terms, LEOs no longer allowed to stop law breakers
