Did I put my harness bar in upside down?

What say ye? Is this upside down? Should the harness strap tabs be on top and not on the bottom?

That's the way I put mine in. If I put it in the other way, it would have been too low IMHO. The bar is at the correct height for the seats with the retainers under the bar.

They are there to keep the harness from moving. I don't think it matters up or down.

I’m no enjuneer but I’d lean towards proper belt angle in relation to the seat openings vs. up or down of that bar.

As long as the attachment of the shoulder belt is in line with the top of the shoulder (and if not slightly high but never never never below the shoulder /collar bone) it’ll be fine

Like others said put it however it lines up best with your belt slots, but most I've seen go the way you have it. I have one laying in the shop for my LJ, I just haven't gotten it put in yet.

This. You don't want the straps to end up pulling downward. However you acheive that... doesn't necessarily matter.

@BigClay your orientation is correct per the manufacturer. However, as everyone else here has said, it’s more about the alignment of the shoulder straps to your body than it is about the orientation of the bar.

I can't imagine that back seat is much fun to get into with this in place, especially with harnesses attached.
