Diesel mechanic/techs near Asheville

Any diesel guys here near Asheville or Hendersonville? I have a Bosch Mechanical Injector pump I need the timing set on. I’ve took it to 2 places an they look at me like I’ve got 5 heads. I don’t have the tools to set it myself. But if I can’t find someone to do it looks like I’ll be buying them

Do you not just install in the motor at a certain timing spot and then set drip timing like most other german mechanically injected diesels I've worked on?

I have no clue. When he shipped it over here he told me I’d have to set the timing on it. The videos I’ve watched that seems to be what they do. But I don’t have the tools and I don’t want to foul it up

Any shop that has experience working on VW's (older diesel) should be able to time it, but they'll need the car.

There is a guy with adds on Spartanburg craigslist that does mobile tdi repairs. I’ve talked to him on the phone. Seems to be a smart dude.
