I've gotten hold of a '73 cj5 with these diffs. Can anyone ID them. I thought the rear would be a dana44 but this doesn't look familiar. It's smaller than my dana41's in my old jeeps. Thanks for any help. Scott
Can't get pics to post. I'll keep trying

should be a rear 44 & front 30

Diffs

The second pic is hard to see the shape. I had to crop it to have it accepted. It is rounded like the front diff.

Thanks, I'm going to get a better pic of the rear. It doesn't look like a 44 to me.

The rear 44 wontbe super huge like say a wagoneer but it is still a good axle setup for a flatty... only issue would be Tcase output, if you are using the dana 18, the CJ5 axles would be a centered pumkin so you will have issues unless you run a dana 20

the rear an AMC 20?

well, thats what happens when you take a WAG without opening pics I suppose.

Got 3 20s laying in the yard, and deff seen a 44 or two...

So uhhh...I ill shut up and sit down now.
