diff. vent?

They're there for a reason, I wouldnt plug the vents. Maybe so changes in pressure can escape thru the vent, not the seals opening up a leak path.

if you plug them, they will blow oil past the seals.

thx for all the replies and tips.yea the one on the front is in the engine bay already..but on the back there is really not many good places to run it to.looks like im gonna hafto find somewhere for it though.ill figure something out tommorrow i reckon. thx again

This is from trail gear. Not sure if anyone else makes these or not.

Ive seen people zip tie a balloon to the vent to work like the bellows above, and I had a buddy with an xj that ran his rear line up to the gas door area so he didnt have to worry until water/mud was over the fuel filler.

Dont plug the vent though, on my 67 fairlane the vent on the 9" got plugged with rust over the years (the hole in the nipple was only drilled to about 1/16") and the axle seals started leaking after I would drive it for 10 miles or so. After I found the vent plugged and drilled it out to 5/16" the axle seals quit leaking and I never had to replace them
