Well i've asked on about every other forum so I thought I might as well ask here.

I'm going to look at two dirt bikes tomorrow.

99 XR250

07 TTR 230

I'm trading for these so some dough will be added for the TTR but not to bad. I just want to do trails with this. So what do you guys think?

They are both good trail bikes as long as you dont plan on doing them fast.LOL

Their both tuff machines, and will last long with regular maint.

XR250 put 300 kit in it lighten the flywheel and respring the front if you weigh anything over 200lbs and plan to push the stock suspension. Change oil as recomended by Honda and it'll last forever. With the said kit it'll make the same power as a XR 400 with a little less top end. BTW a master rider by the name of Johny Kirby has one more class finishes and over all season 1st places on one of those than you could imagine, all while finishing in the top 15% of a Pro, A class field. Or don't touch it and it'll do anything a novice to intermediate rider can handle and be like a tank compared to the new shiny sticker :poop: built today. As for the Yamaha (I think thats what it is) the TTR series are play bikes at best, very suited for beginer riders, especially women due to their low seat hieght.

I race Haresramble on a XR400 and have been around several 250s, mine and others.
