A month ago wife got an '08 Pathfinder.
We discovered that, quite oddly, it has this weird "feature" where you can remotely roll down the front windows using the remote fob, apparently by holding down the unlock button for 5 secs.

How did we discover this? By waking up one morning, when it was raining, to discover the windows down. Since it was raining the night before, they were definitely up when we went to bed. Spent the next day drying out the car.

And low and behold, it did it again today... she goes outside to find them magically down again.
Keys not in pocket, sitting out on table the whole time.

I can kinda see how this might be useful during a hot summer day - but f*ck this thing if it's liable to randomly do it. Aside form being a HUGE security problem it sucks getting your car soaked!

Soooo - any way all to disable this? At first I was thinking that changing to a universal fob might work. But then I realized, it must be either (a) picking up the RF from somewhere else (nobody else on my cul de sac has a Pathfinder...) or (b) it's flakiness in the receiver (??).

No help on the Pathfinder, but on my new f250 I can disable with the dash menu using the steering wheel buttons. It was under a vehicle settings menu choice. Nissan may be similar.

Edit: I turned that shit off too, for that exact reason.

See if it's in the owners manual, if you don't have one most can be found online now.

Google makes it sound like it's not easily disabled, but there may be a BCM setting buried in Consult to disable it. Interesting.

Replace with aftermarket..........
Replace what? Fob? I don't see that helping.
I was incorrect, wife informed me she wasn't even at home (keys in her pocket) and it did it while she was gone. Hence it must be on the receive side.

You could probably relay isolate the windows to be active only with ignition power. Shouldn't take more than two if you use DPST relays probably.
