Which ones to get? "Disc brake conversion for 14 bolt".

Blue torch has for $109. many holes for adjustment (pinion angle), uses spacers.

Store on ebay, Greatlakes offroad I believe. $61. four holes, says adjustment is not needed for pinion angle. Also says Bending the brackets causes weak spots in the bends.

Sky manufacturing. $95. Brackets are bent, says that the use of spacers puts more stress on the bolts, under hard braking causing bolts to break.

These are the three I know of. Which ones do you have? Whats your opinion and what are some others.

I have the Great Lakes version. Zero probles, direct fit. Positioned the bleeder for the caliper at the top. I would get theirs again for sure.

I've got the 14 bolt kit. They offer multiple mounting holes as well. Even come with a laser cut plate spacer versus the pipe or tubing spacers...

pics on the website are outdated.

i've heard great things about the great lakes 14 bolt brake brackets

i have the dana 60 btf brackets and they're ok but they are identical to what others were selling for half the price... ie. great lake

The ads I've read say "uses 1/2 or 3/4 ton caliper and rotors". I have both types, and the 1/2 ton (rotor) measures 11 7/8, the 3/4 measures 12 1/2. Does this make a difference with which bracket to use?

yes. My kit as well as most others (Great lakes, etc.) use mid 70s GM 3/4 ton calipers. Pretty much standard for the disk brake kits.

there may be some that use the 1/2 ton calipers, but I don't know of any
