Disc brake issue

Recently swapped out new rotors and pads on the front of the wife's '08 Accord.

Everything seemed fine for a few days then we heard and felt a grinding/vibration noise at very low speed. I'm talking almost a dead stop or right before you come to a complete stop.

It's not all the time. If you're creeping through traffic it will be there for a few minutes of stop and go, then it will go away for a few minutes. Or if you take it for a drive later on, it may not do it at all.

I just went out and pulled the brakes apart and inspected, there's no signs of any issues what so ever. They look great and pads are installed correctly.

Thoughts? Just bad parts is all I can come up with. I bought the mid grade brand from Rockauto.

Probably not bedded properly or completely yet. What kind of pads, and did you do any break-in or bedding at all? You're probably feeling the vibration profile change as the pad material and rotor surface are both starting to lose their original finish, and this will be different at low pad pressure as the pads can move around a bit. It also sounds temperature dependent, which may be a sign that bedding is not proper yet.

Did you replace the pad guides as well? I've seen aftermarket pad clips make noise because of poor fit, and worn out/bent OEM clips can make noise as well.

I don't think I did now that you mention it. I think I still have the box with the old pads. Need to check and see. That makes sense

It's more likely the pad bedding, and I'd do that first. But if that doesn't work, it may just be pad noise or vibration from the pads being only lightly constrained at low pressure.

Seeing as I've put 4-500 miles on them, I'd think they are bedded or very close to it.

I checked my left over box of parts and no clips, new or old. I can't say I recall seeing clips to be honest.

Going to be putting another 600 on them in the next couple days. I'll just wait to see what happens.

Thanks

You'll need to burnish/bed them as mentioned above, there are times when a vehicle comes in after thousands of service and will be reburnished for similar issues.
