Distributor blown out (HELP)

I just replaced my oil pump and gasket and primed pump correctly by removing the distributor. After 30 to 40 attempts I finally got the dist back in with the rotor button lined up with the mark I made before pulling it. Cranked up and ran fine with higher oil pressure (60-70psi) which I assume is ok bc the new pump is working better. Next day cranked up psi hit 80 and leveled off. After a few minute reved lightly and boom lost psi and I shut it down. Found the dist had popped out mounting tab broken. Does anyone know what has happened here. Open to all opinions and if your in the Greensboro area maybe meet up and trade some skills( electrician). Thanks

Could be extra pressure caused by oil pump doing 80 psi pushed cam driven gear up so hard that it pushed distributor out of place. Check for clogged oil filter

The oil and filter are new. Wix w/ rotella t4 15/40. The engine is the 4.0 and yes the hold down broke at diz shank. How do I put a pic on here via phone so I can show y'all

Good news y'all. Figured out the issue concerning the broken dizzy tab. Apparently the steel hold down that goes over tab fell down while removing dizzy bolt beside engine mount and didn't hear anything bc it's covered in grime dulling any sound. Found hold down now will be replacing dizzy but using steel hold down this time. Lesson learned.

Is anyone else wondering why he is running Rotella 15/40? Did I miss something? Is this something crazy 4.0 diesel?

To help with Hydraulic flat tappet lifters and cam I'd imagine!?

I wonder if the pump shaft was aligned with the end of the dist. I don't think mine have any metal hold downs over top of the aluminum tab.. I've run rotella in mine for the last 80k, change like every 10-20k and drive the wheels off it. ( She's only got 350k on her)
