Im needing a divorced t-case to go in my rig, but i cant think of anything else thatll work... right now i have a divorced psd np205, but the low range sux and its a heavy mother.... im trying to find a lighter weight case that will handle some power/torque, so that i wont have such a time fitting it between the rails... I know that you can get adapters to divorce the toyota case, but id say theyre high $$$$, and if i cant find something reasonable ill just make the 205 work...

i also have a d20 that i think is good, and could possibly try to make it work... issue is that i have a np435 tranny that is impossible to find a tailshaft adapter to fit factory... if worse come to worse i might be able to find a bullgear to fit the output shaft and input of the case, and make/have someone make an adapter for me...

any ideas?

Easy solution would be a NP241. Aluminum case is boundto be lighter than the 205, and the 5 planetary input should be stout enough to hold up to some HP.

Slightly more creative solution; How much room do you have? If wheelbase isn't the issue, what about twin trannies?

If you were already considering custom making an adapter, then you're 1 step closer (just gotta mate the output and input shafts). The weak sauce 1.96:1 LO range won't seem so terrible when you've got all those extra gears in front of it.

Any guesses what my next planned add-on is? Mine will be twin SM465's in front of a 205. My wheelbase is 110" and this setup makes the shafts within a few inches of each other in length.

Good luck!

I've got a divorced case out of a 1981 Nissan. I don't know the specs on it or how strong it is but it might work.

Dean The GrapeApe used to run a divorced Dana 20 in his Ranger. I can not remember where he got the parts to make it a divorced t-case.

yeah my wb isnt long enough for dual trannys plus the adapter collar would be the pain to make...

my tranny is a NP435 from a dodge truck with a divorced np205 factory... which as i do some research may not be too hard to find aftermarket, but not many factory options are available....

if i can find a case that will mount up with an adapter then id go that route or if i could find a divorced case that could hold upto a mild v8 being abused...
