diy beadlocks

I doubt you save anything by having a shop cut them out for you. Places selling them are cutting them in bulk, compared to you having to basically pay for a couple sheets of steel for a shop to do plus the labor.

Order up some from TMR or whoever you’d like and then have someone weld them on. @Chris_Keziah loves doing weld on beadlocks. He was just saying he hope he gets to do a couple more sets soon :flipoff2:

I'm really happy with my TMI's. No one in the area could even come close in price even when you factored in shipping.

TMI not TMR, Total Metal Innovations has the drain hole design and a really nice anti-coning feature I like. I will happily weld more on, it was the dismounting and mounting that brought the suck.

Edit: Weld on Beadlocks in case you didn't want to get lost googling.

TMI made mine when i went to 17" rims
Damn awesome!
You are correct about the drain holes and integrated anti coning ring. Good stuff...

That’s what @Chris_Keziah recommended and welded up for me and I’ve been pleased. It’s my first set so I don’t have anything to compare to but the features he referred to, I agree on. I’d recommend getting the bolt protectors, however my bolts look really good considering the abuse they’ve seen.

Ditto on the TMI's... LOVE mine!
@catfishblues did the molecular bonding to my rusty chrome bulletholes...

Zero issues... aside from 20 y/o Swampers = _hard_as_a_fawking_rock, imperfect beads, & being very(very) dry

2500 of the heavy AirSoft BB's (each) keep it controllable to speeds well beyond where *I* feel safe

Any way to get these weld on bead-locks "balanced"?

Yes, they can be balanced. Mine were done by 4WP and are pretty close. I drive mine to wheeling trips. Balance beads also work decently.

I run balance beads in mines and it works out pretty good. I can drive down the freeway doing 70 without any issues. I bought some Trail ready alum beadlocks so no help on in the DIY area or weld on beadlocks.
