Anyone seen this movie? Wife and I watched it last night and I thought it was good. ALot of people are saying that this is Tarantino's best film...but I have to disagree..I still think Pulp Fiction is his best.
Movie is really cool though and very graphic. def worth a watch...but be warned...its like 3 hrs. long.

Since it's a movie everyone is talking about, I want to watch it just to see what the hype is about. However, it has 3 main drawbacks for me:
1) It's a Tarantino film...usually not a fan of his films, I just can't get in to the whole blowing shit up and excess gore for the sake of it and WOW factor.
2) It's 3 hours long...it's been my experience that any film that takes more than 2 hours to wrap things up, is a waste of my time.
3) Too many big names...again in my experience, once you add more than 1 or 2 big names to a film, the quality and entertainment value of the film is inversely proportionate to each additional big name.

Now I'm far from a movie critic, but do go to the movie theater at least once a week and the badin drive ins twice a month, so I know what I like and what entertains me.

Haven't seen the new one yet... not much time to get things done and watch movies after the kids go to sleep.

I have to agree with you... I love all his movies, but Pulp Fiction is my favorite. It is part of the lexicon of the 90s.

My other favorite is True Romance, which was his first screenplay (Tony Scott directed), and I also really like Death Proof.

I think 'big names' can be good or bad. If actors actually play their roles, it can't be a bad thing. Big names for the sake of big names is never going to go well.

I LOOOOOVED THE masked bandit scene. I died laughing.

My biggest complainf would be Jamie Fox. I don't like his saviour.

I know why everyone is hating on Jamie Fox. but he kills his roll. Though it is a 3 hour movie I never though when is this movie going to end like other movies that long

haven't seen it but really want to. for those saying that Django is better, is it because it's new and fresh? Pulp Fiction to me is a lasting movie. I can watch it today and I still enjoy watching it. Could the same be said?

I think the acting in Django was def on par. Decaprio did an EXCELLENT job espeicially the scene at the dinner table. I did not like Tarantino's character. I am still on the fence about Foxx's character...it was good at some points but other times, I thought someone else would have been better....like Dave Chappelle :)
But it was very entertaining....if it wasn't such a long movie...I'd probably buy it.

The only reason I would consider seeing the movie, is that Spike Lee complained that Tarantino used the N word too much. Is that even possible?

Watched it last night with several friends and a good many beers...

We laughed, hard... throughout. Samuel Jacksons Character killed...

"YOU GONNA LET HIM SLEEP IN THE BIG HOUSE MASSA"

"IS THAT A PROBLEM STEPHEN"

"NO MASSA, NOT IF YOU DONT MIND BURNIN THE BED, THE SHEETS, AND WHAT NOT"

haha
