DMV title transfer

Has anyone sent off a title in the past few months? I sent mine off over two months ago and still haven't received it. I know in the past 3 or 4 weeks it would be back, is there any way to call or check on the progress?
 
Had mine for my 4Runner back in 3 days after I bought it and did the paperwork, but I did all the work at a DMV office in Raleigh. Still 2 months seems long. I have called the DMV's main number before and given my name/make/model/year and they have been able to look it up before and give me a status.
 
I know they were backed up from tax season, but I've gotten both that I've sent since April. Last one only took a couple weeks.

You wouldn happen to have that main number would you? In the past it's always been a few weeks so idk what's up this time just hoping they didn send it to wrong address or something
 
i had this same problem not long ago, well mine only took about a month not two but same deal. I went back to my office where i sent off for it at and they can look up if it has been printed or not and if it has been mailed out yet.
 
Yea I called the main dmv and they looked it up since it was a Florida title they have to send it there and Florida checks it for leans or anything then back to nc said it should be printed this week
 
no trouble here. new trailer purchase and sending off for title after pay off on the suburban.
 
This happened to me about a year ago. Bought a vehicle and registered it. The day before I was about to sell it, I was like shit I never got the title back. I called DMV and they showed it was sent to the wrong address and was returned to sender. The lady working the counter at the tag office entered my address incorrectly. They had the title at the main office in raleigh and I was able to go pick it up.
