Does anyone know of a good dobermann breeder with puppies availavle now? We aren't looking for a show dog, just a healthy good dobermann

We don't mind paying either

There are several Dobie rescues in the NC area even if your aren't interested in adopting they maybe able to give you some advise. We adopted our blue male Dobie from a couple down in Charlotte at 10months old and 96lbs. We already had a female that is 3 years old now, and I would definitely get another female not a male.

i have no objection on animal rescue shelters but looking for a puppy... why are you against a male? or what characteristics did the female have that leans your decision so heavily?

I got my female when she was a puppy, they both have very good temperments. Anyone could put their hand in the food bowls and my dogs would just sit and wait for you to finish before they resume eating. But in socializing the dogs my female listens to my commands very well, I can also let her off the leash and she sticks to my side like glue. My male on the other hand tends to be very thick headed.

I suggested trying to adoption shelters to see if they had any puppies or to see if they could recommend any good breeders to you.

I chose not to crop either of their ears, and I'm glad I did. They love to play hard with one another and I'm pretty sure the cast's never would have lasted very long on one another.

They look much better with their ears down. The rescue shelters should have some puppys and will know who the good and bad breaders are around the area.
