I have built a Ford D44 with dodge flat top knuckles (first mistake) and managed to keep the 5 on 5.5 lug pattern. With the cailper bracket that I had I noticed there was not enough room for the cailper to fit so I had that and the spindle machined for there to be enough room to make it work (second mistake). Now my brakes have gone on the frizz and are not working properly.

I read in the FS section that someone was able to keep 5 on 5.5 with a dodge axle... I need some ideas?
Sloppy write up I know... VERY agrevated at the jeep right now
Stupid jeep:fuck-you: Stupid me:fuck-you:

what exactly is your question? all 1/2 ton post 1980 dodge d44's were 5x5.5 stock.

all ford half ton d44's were 5x5.5.

well i dont know what the bolt pattern for the dodge knuckle and spindle are, but chevy is 6 bolt, and ford is 5 bolt....

you can get a 5on5.5 wheel bolt pattern by using ford, dodge, IH, or Jeep CJ outers...

or if you have the 6 bolt knuckle you can use small bearing chevy spindles with ford or IH hubs/rotors...

haha thanks rich...:flipoff2: What Im looking for is a setup that i can use the knuckle I have right now. Its a dodge knuckle with chevy spindle and caliper braket with ford 5 on 5.5 hub which for the most part works but the brakes go crazy on me everyonce in a while

well that should work using the ford hub/rotor on a small bearing chevy spindle, with 1/2 ton chevy caliper bracket and caliper....

what are the brakes doing when they go crazy? it may noy be a problem with the brakes, but maybe in the hydraulics....

what year 1/2 ton bracket I have on but it doesnt work... theres not enough room for the pad to fit. The rotor is warp and a new rotor wolnt have enough clearence
