Dodge trucks...your thoughts

stick with what you know.
thats a bad year range for dodge, they had electrical issues from gauges, power windows and even ignition failure.
auto trans sucked unless you built it up.
buddy has two 97's one gas one diesel and he has had major problems out of both for years now.

We should trade for a week.
If you look on DTR at all the problems that "might" go wrong on an 03, pretty sure mine's had all of them. HVAC system doors all broke, A/C freezes up, the power lumbar broke, the clearance lights leaked, front u-joints, ball joints, tie rod, all junk. It needs a PS return line because Chrysler installed it incorrectly. Worst part is, damn near everything was because of some stupid VE.
I still like the truck a lot, but that's got fawking nothing to do with Dodge.
Sounds like yours must have finished up on a Friday afternoon at 4:55. :driver: Like I said, mine does have some minor things going on with it but nothing I can't live with. Power lock on rear passenger side has recently quit working. The HVAC blend doors act up from time to time. Just have to make sure the fan is off before changing where I want the heat or AC to come out from. The water pump went out about 25K ago. No big deal to change that out though. And that's about it. Overall I've been very pleased with this truck. I tow a 30 foot camper with it and my jeep on it's trailer. It does great while towing with plenty of power. Of all the vehicles I've owned over the years it's been the most trouble free. Every time I get in I just hit the key and away I go. I better knock on some wood. I may have just jinxed myself.

My next truck will probably be a 2500 Diesel 6 speed. My buddy had an 05 lifted, bully dogged, aftermarket injectors, and an aftermarket clutch. It was pushing about 850 hp and he never had any problems
