does anybody know any info on the go kart track in pilot mountain or boone

there is one in boone called Fun 'N Wheels.

Not sure if its still open. Drove past yesterday and they had chained off the parking lot. Not sure if that was because they were closing for the day or because they were closing for the season (which doesnt make sense).

They close for the winter months for sure though. Its not a super spectacular place...one figure eight track, but it beats not having any go karts to play with I suppose.
 
If you want some real go-cart action..check out The Pit in Mooresville. A little pricey, but I can guarantee that the carts will haul ass and you can not hold them wide open around the track.

Alot of nascar guys go there to have a little fun. I raced a few times in the adult lite league and had a blast. Alot of non famous folks with big last names like Evernham, Waltrip, and even a Petty nephew was in the league. Great fun.

I was there yesterday morning and they wouldn't let us ride cause it had drizzled a little and the track was wet. As far as the chain goes it was up probably cause it started raining like crazy an hour after we left. We did get to ride the bumper carts but only two of them ran and were pretty much junk. The go cart track looked fun but if the carts were anything like the arcade they were propably wore out junk.
