Does anyone know anything about the trails in newbern nc

The swamp ohv? If so hope you have your mess snorkled.

There's nowhere legal to wheel in Craven county unless you know someone with land. ALL of the powerlines are either private land or national forest. There's the Black Swamp OHV back near Great Lake, but that's only for fourwheelers and dirt bikes.

If you ride down the back roads and venture anywhere off the actual roads, it's illegal.

The game wardens love to write tickets!

I've said it for years, we need somewhere around here that's legal, but for someone to have enough land to use for that would cost a lot of money.

thought you asked me about this at work.
Oh and a guy gets a jeep and the first thing he wants to do is dump it in a mud hole.

I know of a lot of places you could dump it and you wouldn't get it back!

I hate mud, I would have it on my license plate but it is already taken by a couple NC4x4 members :)

There are some holes out there...

I've seen jeeps with big V8s and 44" tires get stuck so bad it takes 3 wreckers and $1,000 to get them out.

I think I'll pass.

Root mats are pretty unforgiving...once you break through, you're going to sink and it's nasty, black, peat.

I'm torn....on one hand, I feel like we should have a decent place to be able to play around, but on the other hand, they've put up more and more gates in the past 10 years because of people tearing stuff up every time it rains and I'm alright with that.

Tommie didn't know and if you do a google search on the subject, threads from years past will pop up from when you could go out there. He got him a jeep now and wants to get out and ride some in the wilds. No need to worry about him getting off on something illigal. He knows better about power lines and no permission.

I know where some power lines are in waycross and Harrell's:eek:
