Doing a 8.8 swap into a TJ. Do I really need the rear anti-sway bar? This is a mostly street Jeep, and I have the front anti-sway bar connected. Does it really matter?

If you don't have an anti-rock up front I'd keep it.

I ran my TJ with no rear sway bar for most of its life and never rolled it over. I do think the rear is helpful for offroad sidehilling and still flexible enough to not be a problem. The front is ten times more effective when connected though.

I drove it for 3 months without the front connected. I never thought about the off-road aspect of it.

Why would that make a difference? The antirock is softer than the stock bar.

I'm a fan of having them both connected. Handles better that way. But a lot of folks either can't tell the difference, or don't care. Sounds like Jim is in the latter camp.

Was leading that if he doesn't have a front or disconnects the front I'd keep the rear bar. You could prob get away with just a front anti-rock but I'm in the same boat of having them both connected.
