does this bother anyone else?????????

From the reviews they, "rolling stones" wanted to portray the bomber as a lovable young kid and not a evil beard, woman hating, terrorist to bring a different thought to the American people when we think of what a terrorist looks like.

I don't care for it but they have a good point. And they are not the only ones, Time, New York Post have all plastered this dudes pic everywhere.

Its a pretty huge feat to make the cover of Rolling Stone (at least it used to be...). An article about that idiot is OK, but plaster his dumb ass on the cover? I (an many others) think its a little overboard and is just more fuel to the terrorist fire and problems we are having. Now every wanna-be terrorist is going to think they will get their mug on the cover of Rolling Stone. Great, more idiots coming out of the woodwork. Maybe at least they will target the RS office.

That sounds like after-the-fact damage control.

I see the point and if it was made say 10 years ago I think the impact would have been far greater. now it seems that anymore the media make these people out to be martyrs. i know that's a bit extreme but they put more emphasis on the criminal than they do the victim thus giving them exactly what they wanted all along. publicity to their "cause".

I think it was in poor taste for them to put him on the cover, but as someone else mentioned, now everyone is talking about them.

i just really don't understand how some of the most influential minds in this country work. I mean if a picked on little goofy say 15 year old kid walks into a 7-11 sees this mag, he is not going to buy it and read the intent of RS editors, he is just going to say "dang i can teach these bullies a lesson and be famous" i don't know how he could pull it off but i think it just takes us down paths in our society that need not be traveled.

scared to death!!!!!
