Just got a Wii. Wondering what games to get that the wifey would also like to play. I don't think she is going to want to play Madden football.

So, what does your wife/gf play?

Boxing. When we got the Wii, I old her about the boxing and she says "IT'S AWWWNNNNN!" IMO, it's the best, legal way to beat the shit out of someone and still be sitting in your easy chair.

my semi girlfriend brought hers up to the house this weekend. Spanked me like a red headed step child in bowling. Kind of start to wonder when she can get like 7 strikes in a row. Prob screwed around with mario kart for 3 hours and I thought she was gonna cry when I turned it off. Now if I could just get playing gears

they do have rock band for Wii. They also have Wii Music which is different but you still play an instrument.

My wife got us the Wii, we only play it occasionally. I would rather have PS3 better games and better graphics. I did play a FPS on the Wii and it isn't that bad.

Mario cart, boxing and TW golf. We talk a lot of smack needless to say. The girls love the Wii Fit also, since they can "work out" on a game, never seen it though.

Another plug for Mario Cart. That's one of two game request my wife had. The other was the WiiFit... but I wouldn't suggest that one unless she asked SPECIFICALLY for it :D

just do the bowling its the most fun of all the games in my opinion. I had 8 strikes in a row but then screwed up!

Wii Sports is by far the funnest game we have. I want to get mariokart, but it's hard to find. my wife beats my ass in the boxing on wii sports, but i can take her on every other game. We will also probably try and get the Wii Fit, and my dad has Rockband for his Wii. It's fun.

and for the record, i'd rather have a PS3 as well, but she won't let me get rid of the Wii, lol.

The girls around me tend to like mario kart, wii sports, wii fit, and rock band. Mario kart is the greatest game on earth when drinking...... start early if going out though, loser gets to dd.....

We got one a few weeks ago w/ Wii Sports.
Wife loves bowling, and we're pretty cometitive (plenty of shit talking) with tennis.
We often have family bowling competitons.

That said, we are having a hard time keeping up w/ our almost 4-year old, who seems to average 145-165 consistantly. Amazing... he nearly shits a brick when he wins, boy has a serious competitive streak...

So far, we like the bowling too. Our 3 year old has already taken over my HDTV and my laptop, so I'm trying to play the Wii for awhile before she takes it over too! :shaking: I told the wife to NOT find a My Little Pony game for Wii or we'll never get to play again.

haha

i think the bowling is my favorite as well. i avg about 190-210 usually. wife beat my top score, but that'll change soon enough. i'm at PRO level in Tennis & bowling. can usually knock 8/10 out of the park on the home run derby thing. i think i'm gonna get her mariokart for x-mas. she's wanted it for a while.

i always turn my wrist and it makes the ball curve. i started making my guy aim at the 10 pin (right corner) and throw it like normal and it usually curves back to get a strike.

I've found that the key (for me) is to do something you'd NEVER do in real bowling - at the top of your throw, finish with your arm high but the controller parallel to the ground - and more importantly, let go of the button waaaay late so that it essentially throws the ball 1/3 of the way down the lane.
This is the only way I can get it to go straight.

meanwhile my son just kind of swirls his body around and throws his arm sideways... and marks every damn frame.
