Our lovable fur monster seems to have a problem.
he leaves a spot where ever he lays, sometimes dribbles when he gets up. his spot next to the bed we keep a blanket with a few towels piled up, sometimes there is quite a spot.
9yrs old, Husky Shepard mix
I'm wondering if it isn't a "stress" thing, his buddy of 8 years passed away back in January, since then, he's been pretty lonely and rather "needy" as far as attention goes.
We took him on vacation with us last month, he did well traveling, still spotted a little though.
he'll follow me to which ever room I happen to be in, if I go outside with out him, he'll sit at the door.
Took him to the vet before we left on vacation, mostly to see if the spotting was an infection of some sort. they found nothing unusual, poked and prodded and felt no lumps.
We want to get him a new playmate, but I'm leery of the " pissing match" that may ensue due to his dribbling.
We do make sure he's been outside before bed, and that the first thing that happens in the morning. he'll even sometimes wake us up if he has to go, so I don't think he's even aware he's making a mess.
ideas ?
