Is there a source in charlotte that is not supper expensive right now? Looking for 1.5 and maybe 1.75. Problem is I only need a couple sticks.
 
Alro steel only has DOM in 1.75 tube right now...no hrew. Just last friday guy told me "sorry we can't get you hrew but we will sell you DOM for $4 a ft". Might give them a call.
 
I may be outta the loop these days but if you can get 1.75 .120 Dom for $4.00 a ft. I'll buy everything they have. I can't say that I have great connections for DOM but I do get a good bit off the top and I haven't seen 4.00 yet this year of maybe even the last 2 years without buying 200 or 400ft at a time.
 
Yeah last time I ordered about 300 ft from Stock Car steel along with chromo and a couple other things and I paid right at $5 a foot. Id jump on $4 a foot
 
I got quotes of $4.65, $5.21 and, $5.39 for 1.5 x .1.20. Andy @ Ironman suggested I use .156 though for what I want to do. Build a hoop to protect the radiator and tie it into a rocker replacement. He said his front hoop of .120 was crushed on the race jeep last year in a slow speed impace with a tree. Thanks for the replies though.
 
SCS will almost always have it in stock, might not be the cheapest, but it will be there if you want it now. Mike Tock is one of the salesmen.

My buddy has two sticks of 1-1/2 1/4 wall one is 17ft the other is 13ft pm me if your interested four bucks a foot
