DONE WITH GALLOWAYS 4X4 !!!!!!!!!!

THERE WAS A TIME WHEN GALLOWAYS WAS THE PLACE TO GO FOR US 4X4 ENTHUSIAST. NOT SO MUCH ANYMORE, THEIR BUSINESS AND REPUTATION IS IN SHAMBLES. I PERSONALLY DEPENDED ON GALLOWAYS FOR YEARS BUT THE LAST TWO TIMES I HAVE HAD DEALINGS WITH THEM WERE HORRIBLE. LESTER (OWNER) AND LYNN (LESTERS SON) HAVE BECOME VERY IRATE AND ORNERY AND JUST DOWN RIGHT HARD TO DEAL WITH. DARYL (LESTERS OTHER SON) USED TO KEEP THE SHOP ON THE RIGHT TRACK AND ACTUALLY HAD A PERSONALITY UNFORTUNATELY HE GOT INJURED AND IS LIMITED TO WHAT HE CAN DO. THE SO CALLED TECH'S THAT LIFTED MY LATEST WRANGLER LEFT THE TRANSMISSION SUPPORT UNBOLTED. THE LIFT ITSELF SAGGED AFTER ONE WEEK GALLOWAYS OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE AT ALL I HAD TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER FOR ASSISTANCE. FUNNY THING THE REPRESENTATIVE I SPOKE WITH AT ROUGH COUNTRY DEALS WITH LYNN AT GALLOWAYS AND SHARED THE SAME OPINOIN AS I HAVE, IN FACT HE SAID "LYNN ACTS LIKE IT KILLS HIM TO BE AT WORK". SEVERAL FOLKS I KNOW AROUND HERE (GREENSBORO) HAVE BEEN TREATED RUDELY AT GALLOWAYS AND DONT PLAN TO GO BACK. THEY NO LONGER DO QAULITY WORK AND HAVE NOT KEPT UP WITH MODERN 4X4 SYSTEMS THIS COUPLED WITH THE ATTITUDE OF THE EMPLOYEES IS WHY MYSELF AND SEVERAL OTHERS HAVE DECIDED TO DO BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.
 
Never dealt with galloways personally but I have a question. Did you join just to bad mouth them?

No, that is not why I joined. I joined because I am into Jeeps and other 4x4's and this site seems to have alot of valuable information. You will be seeing more of my post in the future, hopefully they will have more of a positive tone to them. I guess my recent experiences are just weighing heavy on my mind and I did not want others to have similiar ordeals. I was not so much attempting to "bad mouth them" but to simply inform others of what happened.
 
thats why I dont shop at Galloways either. I tried a couple times, but its not worth it.
 
I've been going to Galloway's for years as well, I keep hearing negative things about them, but they've always been great with me. I've never gone for more than tires, but none the less, they've been good to me.
 
Yeah i grew up with lester's grand sons and its still hard to get good service down there. I always get a good prices on the used stuff I buy but Chris doesnt do prices so he just helps me as much as he can. Seemed like they were under staffed last time I was there.

Do you have any proof? I think you joined only to "inform others what happened" (bad mouth) Galloways.

JUST CURIOUS IF YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF TO BE AT THE POINT OF " KNOWING IT ALL" BECAUSE I WONDER HOW IN THE WORLD YOU CAN COME TO A VALID CONTRADICTARY CONCLUSION AS YOU HAVE DONE, BASED SOLELY ON QUESTIONING MY INTEGRITY.
 
Ive had bad dealings with Galloways multiple times, if you know me, I have probably told you all about them. I don't see a need to repeat it here, but I do wish I could prevent good people from falling for their bullshit.

I won't deal with Galloways, I know people who do and have good experiences, and Im happy for them.

@Overkill, turn caps lock off, it makes you look like a jackass even though you apparently have good intentions.
 
I understand you are upset but I think you should have handled it different. I understand loose bolts are not good but how are they responsible for your cheap "lift kit" sagging?
 
Calm on the caps buddy, it is so much easier to take you serious if do.

I have heard the same but never delt with them.. good luck though finding someone close by
 
Can't believe you are so concerned with an individuals choice of capital letters in comparison to minuscule letters. Only a bonafied "NERD" would honestly care about that! Perhaps your one of those "NERDS" who just thinks he is "COOL". For the sake of appeasement no more caps.
 
hahaha honestly you look like a noob. your first post on here is about bashing a place and the only reason no one has harrassed you about that is because Most of us has heard the same thing. If you are new to forums we can forgive you for acting like a dick, we all must learn somewere but to bash the people on this forum when you obviously are so smart and use those huge words I can not pronouce(wink) puts you in the douche bag catagory... I think we are making trophies for that.

lol haha wow i have delt with them for years never with anything other than trading tires for that reason.. they have gave me great deals on junk in my eyes tires for credit on a new set.... example just took two sets down got 600 bucks toward a brand new shoes

Perhaps your right, and I am new to forums of this type. Bashing others was not my intent for joining NC4x4. When challenged on the reason for the initial post I got a little hot. I apologize to all.
