I was wondering if there was anyone on here that could take my procomp steel wheels and move the centers in to make the track wider. need them moved about an inch and don't want to use spacers if I can help it.
Thanks
Jody

sounds like a lot of extra work. what do you have against running a 1" spacer?

I thought about doing this to a set of wheels I had, cutting the stitch welds holding the center in, then pressing the center out and flipping them over to make them reverse center wheels with like 2" of BS. I never tried it though and never found any threads on the internet where anyone had done it before. I doubt you will find anyone willing to do it for a price that makes sense. You are probably better off buying new wheels and selling you current ones.

just buy wheels with the right back spacing...problem solved

I haven't been able to find anyone who sells a steel 1" spacer, and I'm not big on the aluminum ones. Don't want to buy new wheels because we just got these and had the beadlocks done. We were looking for something alittle wider but all we could find was what we got or 2 inches more offset and 4 inches is to much. may just deal with the tire rubbing the frame alittle at ful compression unless I can find a steel 1" spacer.
thanks

Bigger tires = Wider Trac = Problemo Solved...

I ran 1.5" aluminum spacers front and rear with no issues on my rig when I had Toyota axles.

where did you guys find the alluminum 8 lug spacers?
thanks

ebay.. $100 shipped. using them on the back of my 6900lb Avalanche...couple thousand miles on 'em so far, with no issues. I also have seen plenty of dually's with them as well.

thanks for the info guys, chris the beadlocks are doing great. great to hear from you.
