I know there's people on here that have done it. I hear the pin is a major PITA without the proper tools. you might try the search button at the top. It's been about a year since I last was a thread about it.
That's right. Take out the 6 torx bolts that hold the hinge to the door pillar. Use heat and or WD-40 to get them out the first time. It's a pain at first. Then replace with hex head metric bolts. As far as the wiring goes, on the drivers and passengers side, there is a 'kick panel' by the door - next to your feet. Remove this panel, and you can unhook all of your power door locks/windows, etc. if so equipped. Very simple to do. I never run doors anymore, but I used to remove/install them all the time by myself. It helps to have an extra hand the first few times.
its not that bad once you get the hard part done. now it only takes about 2 minutes to take them off, then about 5 minutes to put them back on. i cut the bottom of the hinge off and cut the pins down a bit. after that ream top of the hinge out and done. harded than it sounds, but well worth it.
I cut the bottom on the drivers door too. I tried splicing the wires and what a PITA it is to disconnect and reconnect those wires. I didn't realize there was a junction inside the door. Mine squeaks now that I have taken it off.
