Look, I like to eat cheeseburgers and wings later than the average person and have been noticing more and more drunks at the establishments I hit. Carrabbas, applebees...of course, but I've even noticed it at places like buffalo wild wings and the mens club. Society is falling, and I'd like to let people know.

I, too, have noticed this alarming trend at some of my favorite dining establishments.......

Please guys, keep the booze on the trails where it belongs.

while in another thread i posted that i dont drink, period. There is a bar i frequent here in winston (almost on a daily basis, i was just checking NC4x4 before walking out the door).

This is your local corner pub, not a chain resturaunt, but i know that alot of the rough crowd has been banned from this place. I guess they gotta go somewhere, might as well be a family resturaunt, lol.

Why go to a bar when you can have a bonfire and have a good ole time. It's a whole lot cheaper too.

^x2^ now thats cool and drinking in bars is cool i drink but not often, most of the time i am the driver, so no drinks other the pepsi or sweet tea then.

I mostly hang out in bars/pubs when I'm traveling for work  or visiting friends out of town. But rarely in my own home town area.
And, yes, I quite enjoy the bubbly  while there. why not? Actually when going to scientific conferences, most of the real good intellectual work happens not during the day, but after the first few pints in the evening.

I noticed a new sign at the Mexican restaurant we goto regularly...

Notice: Pictures of beer must be server to 2 or more people.

I rarely drink in public bars. I rarely go to public bars. I have my own bar at home and find it much cheaper and safer to tie one on at home. I'm cheap like that.:flipoff2:

^^^That's where I'm at. I'm a cheap bastard and it literally pains me when I'm out with the chick and she orders something for $12 when I know I barely spent that for a whole bottle at home. Only time I drink at a bar or restaraunt is when I go out for drinks with someone from corporate...and then it's on the company's dime.

Oh yeah, I don't even understand why places like Applebee's have to serve alcohol. Aren't they supposed to be a 'family' restaurant? I'm all for having a cold beer with a burger... but if I want to do that, I'll do it at home. In the dark. With the blinds drawn.

So... I take it "too many unsavory people" are a bad thing?

I've gotta get drunk to deal with my family.

COOOOLD BEEEER! I love beer. I make beer. Yes, I love beer too...but I agree that its way over priced at most places. I rarely go to bars around town but I will always go when I am in another city...especially if they make their own beer or have a lot of micros on tap. As I get older, I am more about the quality than the quanity! However, if I am camping, I can still go for a ice cold High Life, Pabst, or Natty!

i agree with ole tommygunn an ice cold draft with a nice juciy steak is amazing ..... but only in purportion with wat your eattin
