I've seen some of the newer drive flanges sold with a thin 'dummy' plate that can be used to simply hold the cover on when the slug removed.

Does anyone sell these separately ? I've searched for a bit and can't find any.

I though most of the big names made their drive flanges so that the cap could be put on without the slug anyway. I know rock and roll offroad sells their caps seperately.

then what does it bolt to if the slug is out? dont the cap retaining screws thread into the drive slug itself?

uhhhh, the DUMMY plate......dummy:flipoff2:

warn flanges also have the dummy plate

I bet if you called around most places would sell just the dummy plate. The only one I can think of off hand that doesn't have the same 4 bolt pattern is polyperformance.
