Has anyone took there drive shaft to a drive shaft shop to have then repair it? I was wondering how much it would cost to repair my drive shaft For a pickup truck

I'm not sure of the distance from you but @Olivers in Winston done mine and I am very satisfied with them. Prices are always fair.

What kind of a price range did you pay them to repair it? Just asking Bc in my situation I'm seeing if it's cheaper to take it to a shop to repair it or just buy one online. thanks

Mine are custom .250 wall rock bouncing shafts so price won't be comparable to a stock type repair. I'm sure he will chime in or pm you. There are others around that do it but Dave is a wheeler and a tech supporter here on the board so he is my first choice.

If you could be a little more specific about the repairs needed and details about the application you will probably get more responses. X2 for Oliver's. He sold me a new one that is far far superior to my old one.

Universal automotive in Concord has repaired, straightened and resized a couple shafts for me. They have always been quick with turnaround and reasonable with pricing.

This, these guys are awesome!

Depends on what broke. Retubeand balance, probably 50-100
Broke an end and double it or more depending on the specific shaft

Thanks for all the feedback shop suggestion. My truck started to shake and when I took out the drive shaft there was a little play in the spline and where to goes to the bearing thing, I don't know what it's call. I'm thinking my my drive shaft is probably shocked?
