Drive train noise

I'm having trouble pinpointing what the source of a noise coming from my Jeep is. I've heard a few suggestions, but wanted to be sure before I started tearing it apart.

Hard to tell from the video, but I'll give it a shot. Make sure your starter is tight.

idk what part to diagnose... the exhaust leak or the fubky noise.. check the fluid in the tranny?

Just use a solid broom handle as a stethoscope,put it up to your ear and move the other end around on the engine,works well for rod brngs., wrist pins ect.

Thanks for the tips, I checked the starter and it is secure. The "exhaust leak" is the flowmaster that I cut the tailpipe off of when I stretched the Jeep. I guess the only thing that I really need to know is if it is the engine or not.

I dropped the transmission last night expecting it to be the torque converter. Turns out there is a crack in the flexplate. Thank you to everyone who offered help and advice.

Check it all flex plate, starter, waterpump, i thought my trans was bad and turned out to be exhaust tapping the trans and just completely overlooked it!!! Good luck
