I have a 4" lift with standard slip yoke rear shaft. I do have a t-case drop. My rear leaf packs came with degree shims. My question is: would it be better to remove the shims or use them?

Is there any vibration? I've never really liked the transfer case drops because they tilt the whole drivetrain back/down, but if it works, I'd leave it alone. I try to built the driveshaft(s) to match the lift/etc. Got a picture?

How do the u-joints feel? I can't really picture what the u-joint angles look like off the top of my head... they're supposed to be within 2* of each other so they're in plane and don't vibrate. Are the shims installed the correct way so they tilt the pinion up towards the transfer case?

i'd keep the degree shims... check to see how much spline engagement you have on the slip yoke at the back of the transfer case, on alot of lifted xj's still running the slip yoke, you don't have a whole lot of spline left engaged, causing the yoke to be able to wobble(vibration). this can also lead to wear on the splines and possibly dropping the front end of the driveshaft(not good). the right way to fix it is a sye & slip shaft, but for a cheap fix, look into a hack & tap, or you can also try a longer front yoke that gives more spline engagement.
