after my motor 4.0 conversion on my 97 jeep TJ i am getting a bad vibration when i go 50+ mph in my front driveshaft, i know it is the front because i took the front driveshaft off the jeep and i was able to go 80mph with no vibrations. The mods on the jeep are 3.5 RubiconExpress suspension lift with a 1" body lift and along with 1" motor mount lift, NO transfer case drop, and a SYE with tom woods shaft in the rear. I posted that to see if anybody thinks that with a 1" motor mount lift and NO transfercase drop, and a 3.5 suspension lift it might put the front driveshaft at a bad angle to cause vibrations??? or do you think the driveshaft is out of balance?(i did take the front yoke part off the front driveshaft with out marking which spline it came off of to replace the busted boot on it) but i dont think that would make a big difference? any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Check your Ujoints, if good, have it balanced

u-joints were replaced 3000 miles ago. that was my first thought too. :( simple and cheap, but it wasn't it this time. wish there was something else i can try before taking the driveshaft to get balanced, maybe i can put in the factory motor mounts which would lower the angle a little on the front driveshaft?

Pull the rear drive shaft. Put the front back in. Put it in 4wd and jack up the front. Start it up and put it in drive and see what is moving.

didn't mean 180 meant 90. sorry the slip needs to be aligned with the yoke on the shaft.
Yea, line up the U joints on each end. Yokes should be on the same plane. When I got my truck they were only out 2 teeth and it vibrated. Quick easy fix.

i hope that will fix it... it was fine before, but untill i decided to replace the broken yoke boot is when i started to have bad vibes at 50+ mph... actually im pretty sure that is it, when i went to go put it back together then i was thinking to myself if it mattered which spline i choose to stick the yoke on? i will do it tommorrow afternoon right after i pick up my new millitary M416 trailer :D
