Battery on my droid razr m is really sucking now. Battery life was down to about 15 hrs max, but recently its dropped off to 8 hrs. Are these external battery packs worth a damn? Any recommendations or warnings? I'd rather not look for a new phone/ plan yet.

I had a "mophie" battery case on my iphone, it would last about 3 days with moderate use when it was new but just like any other battery it got weak over time. I had it about a year and a half until i got a new phone.

Um, no. I didn't think the battery was replaceable

Looks like mixed reviews, but worth a try I guess. Customers who bought this also bought precision screwdriver torx set :bounce:

15 hrs down to 8?

You're freaking lucky.

I'm lucky if I get 3 hrs out of my iPhone 5. It's got a shit battery, but Verizon won't do anything, and the closest Apple Store is 2.5 hrs away.

That being said, I bought one of those square battery recharger things, and it works awesomely.

x2 on the HTC one. I swore off motorola after my second droid. They IMHO have always had battery issues. I got a HTC Rezound and it would last a solid day with heavy use and 2 days with normal use. I now have an HTC One and it's the same way.

You could try one of those phone cleaners that cleans out your cache and junk files, and of course an app killer. I've found in the past that these can help a little.

(edit) if you use the cleaner app, download it, clean it, then remove the app. It will run in the background and give you all kinds of annoying alerts if you dont.

They really are not that hard to change the battery on. Last one I did was a 3GS and it took me 15 minutes. The kits on Amazon even include the tools.

With light use I get 3+ days out of my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. I leave the 4G LTE data off and the bluetooth off unless I need them. No locator service or other crap and run in Power Save mode. I have been pretty happy with it. Almost a year in and no discernible change in battery life.
