Guy has these on local CL ad. Need a set for a truck that is rarely road driven.
I know a little dry rot isn't a big deal, but I'm thinking these are indicative of being pretty hard?
Thoughts?

I've ran ltbs with Dryrot that bad on the road on my ZJ never had any issues may want to tube em for insurance tho!?

Thats too much dry rot to trust them at all. Once you get on the road on a real hot day be prepared for one to blow.

I would check the date code if over 6 years be careful . Chances increase of coming apart at highway speeds in the summer.

Yep, not great from a safety standpoint. Also, by the time they crack like that, enough of the volatile components in the rubber compound are gone that traction and durability are usually affected pretty well. That's one of the reasons they crack; the rubber shrinks because a lot of components have flashed off into the great wide atmosphere. Years of sun and ozone damage speed that along as well. I wouldn't spend a dime on those, because whatever you spend will not be worth it.

I know people run some pretty sketchy shit, but I wouldn't trust these tires at speed. Your level of comfort may be different than mine though.

Yeah my decisions are not always based on a safety stand point! With that being said I'd run those from say camp site to trail head at 40mph!
