Does chevy make any DSD axles? Was almost certain that they dont, got into heated debate earlier today...

Chevrolet doesn't actually make axles to begin with. GM Corporate did/does...but nothing was ever badged under the Chevy name.

I sell a lot of axles and never heard of a GM solid axle that was DSD. Would be willing to bet money they didn't but it's hard telling what might have been done in the 30's. I could almost guarantee they never made a solid axle DSD 4wd front with disc brakes on 1/2, 3/4, or 1 ton trucks from the factory.

I have personally seen and repaired D60 drivers side drop front axles in a Chevy van and 1.5 ton trucks.
Granted they may not be straight from the factory, but they were being sold new at the dealer.
