i just put twin cases n my truck. both have stock gearing and seems like it didnt make any difference from having just one. isnt it supposed to be lower gear ratio? or is this correct? thanks 4 any input/help.

1:1 in high + 1:1 in high = 1:1

1:1 in high + low range = low range

low range + low range = dubble low.

also from what i have read use low range in the back tcase first. then if you need more go to the front tcase low range. less chance of twisting a shaft in the case.

Shift each case independently and you should be able to tell.

HI-HI should feel just like 2HI did before.

Front LO rear HI should feel like LO did before.

Rear Lo, front HI should feel like LO did before (and identical to how front lo-rear hi felt in the previous configuration)

If you cannot acheive low range equal to your stock low range in both of these last two configurations, then something is wrong.

if both cases are successfully shifting into low range, then Front lo, rear lo should feel much slower than any other combo.

if you cant tell a difference there are 3 possible answer:

1) you are joking

2) something installed wrong during the install

3) driver error

Does both shifters move when you only want to move one? If so, you will have to take it apart and trim the shift rail/rod. Then it will allow you to shift either into where you want it, getting you the LOw LOw option

yea the shift rod was hitting and wasnt letting it go into gear. got it apart and fix it today. thanks 4 everybodys help.
