just wondering what you guys think about dual steering stabilizers

do you run them on offroad rigs?

advantages?

disadvantages?

I am looking at a setup that puts a single mount in the middle and runs a stabilizer to each side

not sure how it will work with the way I am setup, dana 60 front, high steer arms on both sides, tie rod is moved up above the axle

pics and advise is appreciated

If you get your other issues worked out, you shouldn't really need it. You have ridden in mine, I can let go of the wheel at 70 and it won't move.

I guess there isn't any disadvantages really... other than the fact that somewhere you have bump steer. If you want to get rid of it via a stabilizer, a lot of people do that. A lot of factory stabilizers can be left in place, allowing for three stabilizers. Can you say, Show?

I don't have one and it rides fine. High steer and 37's. Something must be wrong with your steering. Is your drag link paralell to your tie rod?

tierod and drag link are parrallel, just trying to get some ideas on what you guys run

seems like the consenus is that it is not needed

I have everything in place for now, except getting the 2 front tires balanced

Stabilizers are more or less a band aid, often covering up some other issue with your steering setup. If you setup your steering correctly, you shouldn't need one....much less 2

sounds good, my steering setup is all new, new tre's for the tierod, draglink, new j20 power steering box, new pump

I was really just wondering if I needed one

one never hurts, especially if you hit something sticking up out of the ground with one tire while moving at speed...
Best steering stabilizer of all has 2 hoses coming off it.. :)

The two-hose stabilizers is actually what was causing my death wobble. With no hydro assist, jeep drove great, couldn't make it shake if you hit a bridge. Reconnect the hydro assist and occasionally I would get death wobble. I put a steering stabilizer on there and haven't had any since. I believe it was a harmonic feedback of some type, where the hydro assist was aiding and abetting (though it still doesn't make sense).

There's always one in the crowd.
