I don't really do build threads.:flipoff2: No patience for taking pic's every step. Here is the full hydraulic set up on the willy's.
On the clevis end of the cylinder there is a spherical bearing pressed in. These cylinders were 10" stroke I shortened them to 8" & welded new ends on the rigid & rod ends. All pins can be greased.

The cylinders are fighting? Or do you mean "dual"?

Was it worth the trouble to shorten the stroke? It seems like it would be easier/cheaper to buy the proper stroke. What does shortening it entail?

Building on a budget, I had the cylinders on the shelf & got them for free:rolleyes:

Cut the clevis end then cut the rod.

Good job Jeff.

If you have the parts on the shelf, it just makes sense!

I wish I had your ingenuity, as I'll probably always be a off someone else's shelf kind of guy..

We're going to hit some trails this year, you better believe it..!

Thanks, Foreman, Hano

Those damn things look like they came off a paver:flipoff2::flipoff2:

Actualy, their Boss snow plow lift/float cylinders. Got them with a kit we ordered for a R&D project & they got tossed a couple years ago.
