ok so whats got to be done to remove the dullie spacers on a d60 chevy axle? and im assuming the stub shafts will still work..any feed back will help

well the DRW & SRW have 2 different hubs... the spindles & stubs will interchange. You will either need to get SRW hubs or you can have the DRW hubs turned down and replace the bolts with wheel studs...

alrighty I think I understand I guess I just need to tear it down to really figure it out....thanks ...any knowledge of a thread showing a break down of this?

I'm doing mine this week. I will take some pics for you.

I hate my DRW front.

I would just buy a new set of hubs from bato zone or off ebay if I had to do it all over again.

Why?

I converted mine for $100 + the cost of new studs. New hubs are $189 each.

because cutting them down is a really gangster ass way of doing it. the 8 tabs that hold the rotor on were never designed to carry the load of the truck. you also need to machine that surface flat if you are driving it at speed

Good point. BUT if you weld a 3/8" plate on those tab ends & centers, they will hold up fine.

What the hell is wrong with "gangster ass way of doing it" figuring out how to make things work is a big part of building a rig. I know I couldn't aford $189 x 2 to purchase hubs so I converted mine both for under the price of one.

there are 2 things i do not fuck with on rigs; steering and brakes and this applies to both

I really wish that I would have just bought new hubs. I would never EVER cut another set down. I have way too much time in them and they won't be as stong as srw hubs. I also have to run a 1/2 wheel spacer to clear the non threaded shank on my wheel studs.

so im guessing if I can get the machine work done for free im good on the strength aspect of the deal or should I still mabey invest in a set of standard hubs

Yeah I would just machine down the hubs and drill out the holes for press in studs. Good to go!

Thats because you got the wrong studs, & tried to torch off the dually flange.
