So im standing out in the warehouse working on some project I got going on, and I hear the welders fire up. They are moving a few of our bigger machines back a ways today and needed to fabricate some new parts for it.

This idiot (im not even sure this guy works here, I see him in the morning with the jerkass Mechanic guy, I think they are dating or something :gay:) anyways back to the story

This idiot is out here welding this crap with absolutely no mask, staring directly at where he is welding. Now Im no welding guy, but I know enough to say that this is just stupid. Not only is he staring right at the blinding light, there are sparks and stuff flying up into his face. (Probably wanted to show off to his boy)

I wanted to go over there and punch him. Best part is, if he is blind tomorrow morning, of course its the companies fault, and he, like the typical person will attempt to sue.

Seriously, how stupid can you be?!

was he laying down a bead or just putting tacks on. i usually will tack stuff and just close my eyes and turn my head a bit but if hes lookin at it then if he isnt actually blind his eyes will be burnt and hurt like crazy in the morning.
 
i have half a bottle of 5mg percocet's and a half tube of eye jelly that the doc prescribed me when i blinded myself temporarily last year. :) tell him i'll sell it to him for $500 :)

Maybe he was blind. According to the Americans with Disabilities act, yall are discriminating, and should hate yourselves now.
 
about 10 good tacks without a mask will leave you with one hell of a sunburnt face and puffy eyelids.
 
guy i know had to wear sunglasses at night b/c he welded up an entire exhuast system without a hood. He said that even the dim street lights killed him for a while. But luckly he didnt drive while being a badass that the sun never sets on... i mean a dumbass that welds without a mask :driver:
 
A local guy that owns a muffler and light mechanic shop never wears a mask.
He welds exhaust all day everyday.

I asked him if he closes his eyes or what and he said it just never bothered him.
Now #1 its mig gun
#2 its all very small welds

But damn everyday, Ive gotten flash burn from light repair jobs.
