I was at DT this past weekend and it was very wet. Crawfords Campground is where I'll be staying next time I go. I went as a scouting mission with some NAXJA friends to check it out. Everyone said they will be going back. We had 5 jeeps in the group. Me the biggest an xj on D60's and 42's with a driver that cannot drive.... Next was an xj on 34's locked, then an xj on 33's locked, a stock JK with BFG at's and a stock tj on BFG at's both open. We ran in the Lucy gap road which was easy. the other two built xj's had to go address a fuel issue and they ran Plan Crash and said it was a good little trail with one obstacle they didn't have a problem with and then up to Ridge Road to the Buzzards Roost Overlook. I went with the stock guys up Buzzards Roost trail and was having fuel pump issues. After both got stuck and were having trouble the other two came down to help us all get back to less slick trails. We figured out my fuel issue was a bad ground. Once fixed we headed towards the Bowl area. We took Lucy Gap Road to Little Snowbird Rd and then to Gun Stock Trail. All easy stuff with some nice things to see. Ponds and camp sites well in the property. We final found some Difficult trails and decided to try them. Gun Barrel was it's name. We never made it past the entrance. It was wet and slick.

Sense we both were denied we moved on to the Bowl. While there a guy came up in a sxs and watched. Apparently his name was Chuck and he owned Tellico Cabins at some time or another and was not the principle trail creator and dozer driver up there. He said that they had snow on the ground a couple weeks ago and two days of rain this week and that everything was slick. We went to "The Bowl" and could hear rigs from the "New Cut Road" but not see them. So we walked up to watch. Found this:

Sense we were there to see what all was there first we watched while he went up and then moved on. I'd like to go play there next time I go. We followed "New Cut Rd" and saw the waterfall:
When I got back in the jeep and headed down the trail I heard a new noise.....
Gotta love your friends.........
We headed out "Tellico Rd" with the stock guys who decided to head back to Crawford's. on the way out we ran "Ethan's Path" which was a sxs only trail until recently.
I wanted to at least ride one trail that was difficult with my old friends. Both experienced wheelers with the old Tellico. So we decided to hit up "Knuckle Buster" and then "Rocket Launch" if time permitted. We got on "Knuckle Buster" at 6 and finished it at 8! It was slick and nasty wet. I only took a couple of pictures because the rest of my time was spent helping them winch....
I have more pictures here:

Quite a few of my friends and their family. In my opinion this place will only get better with time and more wheelers.... Chuck was telling us his dozer is out on the "Coldspring Gap" property and he just finished a couple new trails that are going to be good with some rock gardens in them. If you have not been and are shying away because you are unsure if it's worth it I'd say go and check it out it's worth it.
