DVD drive

Anyone in the Chapel Hill area have a USB or a PCMCIA DVD drive that I can borrow for about 1/2 hour?

Got some DVD based software I need to load on a limited input machine. I'll come to you.

Got a machine with a DVD that you can network to? You can share a cd/dvd drive across the network just like you can share a hard disk.
 
firewall probably -- allow IP's of each machine (or temporarily disable firewalls on both machines)
 
Thanks for the hints...Caver spent several hours on the phone walking me through this...Never did get it to work...

Lovely Jeep Wife was shutting down her system for the night, backing up to a FOB....Asked why I didn't just copy the DVD from my XP machine onto the 2GB FOB we all got from BUY.COM a while back....Problem solved. Now I have a GPS unit using a Fujitsu Stylistic touchscreen laptop....10 inch screen is way better than the old 2 inch of the portable.
