I've heard of doing the conversion kit for a 14bolt to discs using 75 3/4 ton chevy rotors and calipers. Are there any calipers available today that are similar but have the ebrake cable mechanism built into them?

I was thinking about just putting a line lock in... is it bad to leave a line lock on for a period of time?

elderados had rear disc with e brake

76-78 Caddy Eldorado rear calipers have an internal parking brake, but they're expensive and if you buy them from a parts store they don't come with the lever, spring, and bracket to use the parking brake cable. You'll need a set of cores from a junkyard or Ebay.

the 76-78 do fit fine. i have them on my 14 bolt. be care not to get 79 - 85'. they will not fit. they are comparable to a 1/2 ton caliper.
76-78's are difficult to find btw.

79' on top. 76 on bottom

there is a place where you can buy the bracket and spring, its called Black Bird custom trucks or something like that. The bracket and spring are not original, but vendor has them made and they work. I bought a set, and before i had a chance to install them, i luckily stumbled across some in a junk yard, so they are still brand new haha.

I've got 3/4 ton calipers on my 14BFF and have bought line locks for the front and rear but have put off putting them on. I've heard that the electric line locks tend to get hot if you leave them on for a period of time. Not sure how long that is. But have also heard that they are mainly good for, let's say, an emergency brake. They also have mechanical line locks with levers that you can use constanly as well. I'm not positive but I think Summit and Jeg's sell them.
