No wonder I didn't feel it. I was in the Walmart up in Madison at 8am. Walmarts are earthquake proof. Everybody knows that.

I'm surprised 700 people didn't show up out of thin air to buy milk/eggs/bread. You could have been inconvenienced.

I woke up because the hot sun was in my face, and then heard the house rattling. I thought we had a flock of crows walking around on the roof again but it stopped all of a sudden.

Yall must sleep very light, if a little shake wakes you up.
Definitely not a little shake here. I thought somebody backed a dumptruck into my house. I think being up on a big knoll amplifies things. Also there was a weird high frequency noise right as it started.

It was felt down in Shelby, NC. Strong rattle and a cat that LOST HIS MIND!!

My mom said she was sitting out on her porch and just barely felt it in between Fayetteville and Lillington. She didn't know what it was until my brother who lives in Asheville was group texting everyone about it. I didn't feel anything or wake up (until the group text), I didn't feel the last big one from 2011 or whatever either though.

That was from the Russian ray guy that triggered the earthquake.

Was leaning on a column in our plant. Felt an odd vibration. Our process does a lot of concrete vibrating stamping. I thought our blow press was getting ready to explode from the flywheel getting out of balance.

Glad it was the ground shaking instead.

I thought "I" was the only one that sleeps in!!! But, I Was up, & standing in the kitchen, barefoot. Just as I closed a cabinet door, my refrigerator rattled. I have some thing in the door that rattle if I open or shut it. I Didn't feel a thing, & just thought it was the act of the cabinet door caused the fridge door to rattle. Then I see on FB, all the reports! At times the Train may vibrate my house, but Not a Quake! Go figure?
